ARBIL / Aswat al-Iraq: A new official for UNAMI assumed his post in Arbil, Kurdish government site reported today.
In the statement, the individual responsible for Foreign Relations in the regional government, Falah Mustafa, received today UNAMI official, during which they discussed common issues and the present situation in the region.
Mustafa pointed out the history with the United Nations, particularly those connected with the assistance rendered in 1991 on the political, economic, services and moral spheres.
"The political leadership in Kurdistan highly appreciate these assistance," Mustafa added.
The statement pointed out that both sides discussed the Iraqi census, pending questions between Baghdad and Arbil, necessity to resort to dialogue, and abide by the Iraqi constitution to solve all problems and disputes
