Melkert renewed support of the United Nations for Iraq to reach solutions to all outstanding problems of international work of the Organization

New Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Ad Melkert to support the International Organization for Iraq to reach solutions to all outstanding problems related to the work of the United Nations, particularly the issue of Camp Ashraf and the need to apply the Council of Ministers decision on deportation of its population outside of Iraq at the end of this year. This came during a meeting with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki is in Baghdad at the end of his duties.
For his part, Maliki Melkert thanked for his efforts during the performance of his duties in Iraq, pointing out that what he had done Melkert that constitute the basis on which those who come after him.
Melkert called for the Prime Minister to visit United Nations Headquarters in New York, noting that it has received a lot of progress and achievements in Iraq, pointing to the need for a presentation to the international organization.
On the other hand headed commander of the armed forces of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki at his office Sunday the official meeting to discuss the security situation in the province of Nineveh, in a comprehensive manner, in addition to border security and border crossings.
The meeting included Chairman of the Provincial Council and officials and the leaders of the security, as well as members of the House of Representatives for the province of Nineveh.
Maliki confirmed the need to give particular importance to the province of Nineveh because of its prestige among the Iraqi provinces.
The meeting concluded the need to work collectively and the necessity of coordination and cooperation between all security agencies and officials in the province.
It was also stressed to accelerate the completion of the military and security units that suffer from a lack of kit and number.
The commander of the armed forces should be the security services is far from politicization, and work to provide security for all citizens without exception.
It was also during the meeting also stressed on the follow-up administrative and security decisions made earlier concerning the preservation and assessment of the application.
