Baghdad, May 26 (AKnews) – Iraq and Vietnam signed an agreement over commercial, industrial and agricultural exchange between both countries.
Trade MinisterMinister of Trade Hassan Babaker said Vietnam, a major producer of rice, coffee and tea, is interested in the Iraqi market and Iraq could benefit from Vietnam’s experience.
"The Vietnamese side agreed to support Iraq in the agricultural, commercial and industrial sectors and by sending staff to Iraq”, Babaker said. “We will specifically use their experience in the field of agriculture."
Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture, Cao Duc Phat, said Vietnam is looking forward to develop projects with Iraq, such as cooperation in the field of energy.
"The Iraqi government must allow Vietnamese companies to enter the competitions on oil fields", he said. "Vietnam wants to import crude oil, its derivatives and petrochemicals from Iraq.”
Phat also said that Vietnam will open its embassy in Baghdad in the near future.

The two sides discussed Iraq's relations with the United Nations and the Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations, progress achieved in the Kuwaiti humanitarian file, and the government's actions towards detecting missing Kuwaiti people and property.
They also discussed the issue of Mubarak port in Bubiyan Island and the government's steps to deal with the matter out of tension and escalation in a way that serve interest of the two countries and peoples.
The two sides discussed procedures and technical facilitations for the UN mission ( UNAMI )in Iraq.
In other part of the meeting which was attended by Mr. Ali al Moumen ,Kuwait's ambassador in Iraq, they emphasized on the need to address bilateral issues within the framework of the Iraqi - Kuwaiti Ministerial Committee, and the need to be sure of the facts around the port Mubarak, and to keep positive connection between the two countries to clarify the situation for of the public opinion.

Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, said on Tuesday that the parliament had no right to pass laws, noting that the Council of Ministers and the Presidency of the Republic are the only ones with the right legislation.
Maliki said during a press conference in Baghdad attended by all governors, "the House of Representatives has no right to initiate laws, beginning," pointing to "that the legislation of laws should be by the Council of Ministers or the Presidency of the Republic exclusively."
He said al-Maliki "the right of the House of Representatives to propose a bill, and submit it to Cabinet for discussion, and then sent to parliament for a vote

Invited the representative of Secretary General of the United Nations in Iraq, Ad Melkert, the Iraqi government to reduce unemployment to a minimum and walk according to the principle of equal opportunities.
Melkert said in a speech during the Conference of the parties concerned at the economic, social and government today, "there are things that are necessary to undertake reforms in the economy the most important provision of social security for workers and to achieve social justice through the application of the principle of equal opportunities."
He added: "This conference has come up a good outcome of the Iraqi economy to the stage of prosperity after the economic reforms required to achieve."
He continued, "This conference will discuss how to improve the situation of workers in Iraq and an end to unemployment and the entry of Iraq into the international market to be an actor in the international economy, will also discuss how to restore the workers to their true role in the management of machines for the advancement of the Iraqi economy."
And "The process of building a good future for Iraq requires a good economy and a free market," praising the "measures taken by the Iraqi government in the fight against financial and administrative corruption in all institutions."
